Russia Increases Agricultural Exports to Tunisia by 43% in First Half of Year

From January to June, Russia increased its agricultural product exports to Tunisia by 43% compared to the same period last year. Export revenue rose by 76%, according to the Federal Center for the Development of Agricultural Exports (Agroexport).

Over the six months, Russia supplied more than 310,000 tons of agricultural products to Tunisia, valued at over $114 million.

"Compared to the same period last year, exports grew by 43% in volume and 76% in value," the statement said.

Russia earned the most revenue from wheat supplies — over $59 million. Other prominent export items included rapeseed oil ($33 million), barley (approximately $13 million), and soybean and sunflower oils ($7 million and $1 million, respectively).

"Export figures for the first half of 2026 are the second highest on record: the previous peak in value terms was observed in 2024 at $130 million," the release stated.

Earlier in July, Agroexport reported that Russian agricultural exports to Africa grew by 40% in the first half of 2026, exceeding 11 million tons.

In May, Agroexport announced that Russia had increased exports of soybean and rapeseed oils to North African countries by more than 1.5 times from September 2025 to April 2026 compared to the same period the previous year.
