In Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso, Russia Day was celebrated with a motorbike rally and traditional folk dances. The festivities took place on June 12, starting with a morning exercise session at Africa Square near the Monument of National Heroes, as reported by the African Initiative's correspondent.

After the exercise, around one hundred participants carrying the flags of Russia and Burkina Faso took part in a motorbike rally through the city's central streets. The route concluded at the Burkina Faso-Russia Friendship Park, where the main celebrations occurred.

The event featured a performance by the Golden Team association, showcasing Russian folk dances. Guests also enjoyed musical performances, participated in table games, and attended a festive buffet.

Ayo Samuyla Azenvo, president of the Russian-Burkinian Association, expressed that Russia Day in Burkina Faso "should be a celebration that unites our peoples."

Previously, in honor of Russia Day, the Sahel Perspective association, in collaboration with the African Initiative news agency, held a conference in Mali focusing on Russian-Malian relations and organized festive activities. These included a literary contest, a traditional Russian cuisine competition, and performances by acrobatic and musical groups.
