Russia is committed to enhancing its relationships with African nations across multiple areas, including defense and security. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson for the Russian President, during a recent briefing.
"We are dedicated to comprehensively developing our interaction with African countries, with a primary focus on economic and investment cooperation. Additionally, this collaboration extends to sensitive areas related to defense and security. In this respect, Russia will continue its engagement and cooperation with African states," Peskov stated, as reported by RIA Novosti.
The presidential spokesperson also noted that Russia's presence on the continent is on an upward trajectory.
In March, Peskov emphasized the need for Russia to bolster its informational presence in African countries.
