Mali's Minister of Industry and Trade, Moussa Alassane Diallo, and his counterpart from Cameroon, Fuh Calistus Gentry, discussed the prospects for industrial development in both countries. The Malian ministry announced this in a press release following the meeting.

"The discussions focused on the common interests and prospects of both countries in the industrial sector. Representatives of both countries also discussed the strategic role of the African Intellectual Property Organization (OAPI) for small and medium-sized enterprises and industry," the statement read.

The ministry also emphasized that the ministerial talks reflect the mutual desire of the countries to strengthen cooperation and consolidate efforts to promote industrial development.

In January, the Malian authorities launched a national industrial census aimed at updating the map of the manufacturing sector and strengthening economic planning in the country.
