President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko is set to meet with Zimbabwe's President Emmerson Mnangagwa for official talks in Minsk on May 14, the Belarusian leader's press service told BELTA.
The agenda includes both one-on-one and extended negotiations, during which the two leaders will review the current state of bilateral relations and evaluate the progress of existing projects, as well as explore promising new initiatives in trade, the economy, and investment. The talks will focus on boosting cooperation in sectors like agriculture, energy, mining, and infrastructure.
In addition to discussions, President Mnangagwa is expected to visit several major Belarusian companies and significant landmarks during his stay, underscoring the growing partnership between the two nations.
Mnangagwa's visit to Belarus follows his recent trip to Moscow, where he attended the Victory Day Parade and held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Their discussions centered on expanding trade and economic ties, particularly through collaboration in geological exploration, energy, and agriculture. These visits highlight Zimbabwe's commitment to strengthening ties with Eurasian partners and diversifying international cooperation.
