Kenya's capital, Nairobi, will host the East African Business Summit and Expo 2026 (EABIS 2026) on February 24-25, Xinhua reports, citing the East African Business Council.
The event is organized by the Kenya Private Sector Alliance and the East African Community (EAC) Secretariat. The summit is expected to attract over 500 participants, including regional ministers, investors, and corporate executives.
The agenda includes discussions on regional prosperity, infrastructure integration, industrialization, and digital innovation. The forum aims to stimulate trade and investment both within the bloc and beyond.
This business-focused event follows earlier announcements of high-level diplomatic gatherings in Nairobi. Earlier in February, the Élysée Palace reported that France and Kenya would host the Africa Forward summit in Nairobi on May 11-12, dedicated to the "partnership between Africa and France." That summit's agenda includes discussions on reforming the international financial architecture, energy transition, green industrialization, blue economy development, digital integration, artificial intelligence, sustainable agriculture, and healthcare.
