In the capital of the Republic of Congo, Brazzaville, the international association "Globus" together with the League of Graduates from Russian Universities held a festive event for Children's Day.
The program took place at the League of Graduates' cinema club. The children were shown the animated film "Cats of the Hermitage" about the adventures of Vincent the cat and Maurice the mouse.
The celebration then continued outdoors, where children played active games, danced, and drew chalk pictures on the asphalt on the theme "The World Around Us." The children depicted their families, animals, and the nature of Congo.
At the end of the event, all participants received sweet gifts from Russia.
In Equatorial Guinea, the Russian Cultural Center in Malabo, with the support of African Initiative, organized a celebration at an amusement park for the children of the "Our Lady of Almudena" orphanage to mark International Children's Day. Volunteers from the cultural center and animators introduced the children to traditional Russian games such as "hopscotch," "blind man's buff," and "the stream." The orphanage children also enjoyed rides at the amusement park.
