The Intervision international music competition will feature performers from Egypt, Madagascar and South Africa, the Traditions of Art cultural heritage foundation, organizer of the event, told RIA Novosti. This year's lineup includes artists from all continents, including South America, with acts arriving from Venezuela, Colombia and Cuba.
African participation and performers
- Three African acts are confirmed: Egypt will be represented by singer Moustafa Saad; Madagascar by the duo Denise & D-Lain; and South Africa by a solo performer (name to be announced by the organizers).

- African musical heritage will also be visible at the Spasskaya Tower festival on Red Square (22–31 August), which for the first time features the Zimbabwe Defence Forces Band alongside ensembles from Burkina Faso and Ethiopia.
