Egypt and Turkey Conduct Joint Air Training Exercises

 Joint Egyptian-Turkish air training exercises, which lasted several days with the participation of units from the Egyptian and Turkish Air Forces, have concluded in Egypt, the Egyptian military command announced.

"The exercises included numerous training activities and joint sorties involving some of the latest models of Egyptian and Turkish multirole fighter jets. This reflected the high level of training achieved by the participating forces, as well as the exchange of expertise in training and tactics in planning, execution, and command and control methods," the statement said.

The sides conducted the exercises as part of developing military relations and cooperation between the Egyptian Air Force and their counterparts in friendly countries.

Egypt's exercises with Turkey and Oman began on June 12.

In September 2025, the first joint Egyptian-Turkish naval exercises in 13 years, dubbed "Friendship Sea," began on September 22 in the eastern Mediterranean. They marked a "turning point" in relations between Ankara and Cairo, as they took place after several years of political estrangement between the two countries.
