China and Tanzania have just inked a Sh25 billion ($9.7 million) deal. The deal which was signed between the Ngorongoro Conservative Authority and the Chinese government aims to continue with the development of the Ngorongoro Lengai Geopark Project. This partnership would aid in improving the country's tourist appeal and lengthening visitors' stays.
"There will be a dedicated facility for research and tourism, allowing visitors to explore the ancient footprints of Laetoli. Infrastructure will also be established to offer insightful interpretations of geological tourism resources at approximately 100 sites," the commissioner said.
He pointed out that these initiatives would contribute to improving the country's tourist appeal and lengthening visitors' stays who are interested in taking a tour.
He also thanked the president of the country, Samia Suluhu Hassan for facilitating the onboarding of Chinese investors onto the project.
Lengai Geopark Project, according to the Citizen's report is the only one of its kind on in Sub-Saharan Africa.
