Mikhail Bogdanov, the Russian President's Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa, as well as the Deputy Head of Russia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, engaged in talks with Aziz Mahamat Saleh, the Special Advisor to Chad's President, to discuss enhancing the relationship between their countries during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). This was reported by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
"The conversation covered a wide range of topics aimed at further strengthening the traditionally friendly relations between Russia and Chad, with a focus on expanding trade, economic, scientific, technical, and humanitarian ties," stated the Russian Foreign Ministry.
Both parties reaffirmed the commitment of Moscow and N'Djamena to maintain an active political dialogue and coordinate key positions on significant international and African issues within the frameworks of the United Nations and other multilateral organizations.
Earlier, Bogdanov had discussions with Uganda's Vice President Jessica Alupo, focusing on furthering Russian-Ugandan relations.
The SPIEF is held from June 18 to 21, centering on the theme "Common Values as the Foundation for Growth in a Multipolar World."
