The Belarusian political party "Belaya Rus" (White Russia) and Zimbabwe's ruling party, the Zimbabwe African National Union – Patriotic Front (ZANU-PF), have signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation. BelTA reported on the signing ceremony, which took place on May 29 in Brest during the 2nd International Interparty Conference.

The document was signed by the chairperson of Belaya Rus, Olga Chemodanova, and the Secretary-General of ZANU-PF, who also serves as the Speaker of the National Assembly of Zimbabwe, Jacob Mudenda.

"We have managed to sign a cooperation agreement between our parties. We hope to work together to improve the living standards of our people. All of this is very encouraging. We anticipate major developments between the two parties," Mudenda said.

According to BelTA, the two parties agreed to maintain regular contacts, exchange experience in organizing party work, and promote the development of trade and economic ties, as well as cooperation in agriculture, education, healthcare, and tourism. Additionally, both sides expressed their intention to deepen cultural ties and cooperation in youth policy.

Earlier in May, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko met with his Zimbabwean counterpart, Emmerson Mnangagwa. The two leaders discussed the directions and implementation of a cooperation roadmap for 2026–2030.
