The Russian company Angara Security is strengthening its cooperation with Asian and African countries in the field of combating cyber threats. This was reported to an "African Initiative" correspondent by Artem Gribkov, Director of the Angara Security Cyber Resilience Center, during the 13th International Meeting of High-Level Officials Responsible for Security Issues.

"Our center offers services for preventing cyber incidents and restoring infrastructure after attacks. Our main mission is to ensure the cyber resilience of our clients," explained Gribkov.

He noted that the rising number of cyberattacks targeting Russian infrastructure in recent years — especially from highly skilled hackers and activists — has helped Russian specialists gain considerable expertise in handling such threats.

"We believe this experience is relevant and valuable, and we are ready to share it with colleagues from any country. It can benefit everyone," he emphasized.

Speaking about cooperation with African states, Gribkov mentioned that the company is already developing projects in this area, but could not disclose details.

"Cybersecurity is a highly sensitive field. Therefore, I can only say that we are working with countries in Asia and Africa," he added.

Earlier, the head of Namibian police told "African Initiative" that cybercrime remains the primary security challenge for the country.

The 13th International Meeting of High-Level Officials Responsible for Security is being held from May 27 to 29 at the Russia National Center in Moscow. The event is attended by 45 delegations representing more than 40 African countries, as well as several international organizations, including the African Union and the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD).
