On May 22, Russian Ambassador to the Central African Republic, Alexander Bikantov, held talks with Ramo-Claude Biro, Minister of National Defense and Army Reconstruction. As reported by the Russian diplomatic mission, the main focus of the meeting was to strengthen cooperation between the two countries ahead of the upcoming elections in CAR.
According to the embassy, the two officials engaged in an in-depth discussion about the future of bilateral cooperation in the field of security, considering the mutual interests of both Russia and the Central African Republic. They agreed on the importance of ensuring stability and safety during the election period scheduled for 2025.
