On June 12, the capital of Niger, Niamey, hosted a Russia Day celebration. This event was orchestrated by the non-governmental organization "Together Hand in Hand Niger-Russia."
The festive program commenced with a ceremonial parade, which began at the Seyni Kountché Stadium. Participants included students, members of civil society, and representatives from various educational institutions.
Following the parade, a course on Russian history was conducted at the organization's cultural center, offering attendees an insightful glimpse into the nation's rich past.
The Russia Day festivities concluded with a tasting of traditional Russian dishes. Organizers commented, "This event provided a unique opportunity to explore the culinary richness of Russia while simultaneously strengthening cultural ties between the two nations."
Previously, Russia Day was also celebrated with great pomp in Mali.
