Roscongress and Afreximbank have agreed to cooperate within the framework of the Intra-African Fair

The Roscongress Foundation and the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) have agreed to cooperate in the preparation of an Intra-African Trade Fair to be held in Nigeria in 2027. This is reported by Roscongress.

The agreements were reached during the second ministerial conference of the Russia–Africa Partnership Forum, held on December 19-20 in Cairo. A large delegation from Russia is also expected to participate in the Intra-African Trade Fair, organize a collective exhibition and hold sessions on Russian-African cooperation.

In addition, Roscongress and the African Export-Import Bank discussed the expansion of Afreximbank's participation in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in 2026, as well as the formation of a broader African agenda, including the creation of the African Business Hub exhibition format.

"We appreciate and are attentive to our warm partnership with the Roscongress Foundation, and we support and traditionally participate in the preparation and holding of the Foundation's business events in Russia and abroad," said Gwen Mwaba, Managing Director for Trade Finance and Correspondent Relations at the African Export-Import Bank.

The Ministerial conference was held in Cairo on December 19-20. The Russian delegation at the meeting was led by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. During the event, Lavrov held about 20 talks with his African colleagues and signed a list of documents. The Egyptian Foreign Ministry said that more than 50 African countries participated in the event.
