International Sculptors Forum to Be Held in Egypt for the First Time

2025-06-04_18-35-31

The city of El Alamein in Egypt will host its inaugural International Sculptors Forum from August 6 to 30, according to local newspaper Ahram Online.

The program will include open-air sculpting sessions on the Mediterranean coast, allowing the public to observe the artists at work.

Both Egyptian and international artists will take part, showcasing a range of styles and materials—from carving granite blocks to creating pieces from recycled materials.

The forum will also feature sculptors' talks, workshops, an art exhibition, and a sightseeing program for visiting artists. Once completed, the artworks will be donated to the city and displayed in public spaces.

Earlier, in Libya, the National Museum in Tripoli was officially reopened after extensive restoration, having been closed since 2011 due to the outbreak of civil war.
