Cameroon's women's national football team won the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations for the first time, defeating Malawi 3-0 in the final on August 16 in Rabat, Morocco, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced.
Marie Ngah scored two goals, with Naomi Njoha Eto adding another. Cameroon became the fourth country to win the Women's Africa Cup of Nations, after Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea, and South Africa.
In February, CAF President Patrice Motsepe stated that the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations would not be postponed and would take place in June-July 2027. The tournament is scheduled to be held in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
