The Agence Française de Développement recognized the urgency of the situation and has committed €288 million in funding for broadband and data centers throughout Africa from 2021 to 2023. However, this investment represents only a small fraction of what is needed to build a robust digital infrastructure capable of supporting the demands of AI development and implementation.
